Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu,

AJ Police Chief Jerald Monahan together support Boys & Girls Club of the East Valley during their open house, Sept, 09.  By working together we make an important difference for our community.

Letter of Appreciation from
Sheriff Paul Babeu dated 11/6/2009
I wanted to write in appreciation for all the hard work and service that the AJ Mounted Rangers do in Pinal County.  It was great to see your members maintaining security at the Apache Greyhound Park for the Annual Harvest Festival, organized by Todd and Tuni House.  We had a great time again this year.  Your involvement to support civic and community organizations is unmatched.  Many of your members are retired or prior law enforcement and continue to be involved and support our time honored profession.  Though the Apache Junction Mounted
Rangers have no lawful authority, you serve as a vital support to law enforcement to help maintain good order and discipline at community functions and public events.  You wear your uniforms with great pride and always conduct your duties in the most professional manner.  I stand with our entire community in sincere appreciation of your outstanding service.  As you know, the Sheriff's Office is sorely understaffed with only one Deputy per thousand residents in the unincorporated areas of Pinal County.  We need all the help and support we can get.  Keep up the good work my friends!
